Rates may vary according to the nature of a particular project or session.
Baseline rates for event, portrait, and model portfolio sessions are $75/hr for the first hour and $50 for each subsequent hour of shooting. Processing and basic touchup aren’t billed, but special requests or extensive retouchings are usually billed. Also, if shooting out-of-studio or in a special location, where setup of lighting and/or backgrounds is required, some portion of setup/breakdown may be included in billable hours. Travel is normally only billed for out-of-town engagements.
Commercial shooting may include a professional differential.
All billable expenses will be negotiated upfront as part of the photography contract, and may involve a deposit of the final billed amount.
The initial outcome of all sessions will provide the client with a full set of raw images in either low resolution digital mode or printed contact sheets, or both. From these, the client can make an informed decision as to the images for further processing.
Final product images can be delivered as prints or as high resolution digital images or both. Digital images may be subject to invisible watermarking for copyright protection. All full-size deliverables will be in accord with previously agreed terms.
As per the norm, copyright remains with the photographer. Beyond that, usage rights and licensing are fully negotiable.
In the case of a unique shooting opportunity, some discounting of price (from slight to significant) may be available. If you think your situation fits that category, please ask and we’ll discuss it. This includes both TFP and TFCD shooting. Feel free to raise the possibility.
